It's worth spending some time looking at how a good chunk of the people in the world, and your fellow citizens, develop their worldviews:

P.S. Try to guess Kenneth Copeland's net worth before you google it.

What progressives and Bernie supporters don't understand about how people vote:

Update: I didn't stress enough in this video how important personality and image is when people select the President. Yes, Spiral Dynamics alignment is crucial, but also personality and image is crucial. Don't overlook the possibility that many voters simply vote for a person who they are: A) familiar with, B) who fits their party, and C) who's looks and tone they like. In the case of John McCain vs Barrack Obama, for example, McCain just had the wrong image. Most people vote holistically, not based on any single policy issue. They evaluate a person's overall vibe and likeability. Because when you're uninformed, that's pretty much all you have to go on. And most voters are severely uninformed.

Covid-19 has devastated the Vegas economy. The entire Strip will be shut down for a month, if not more, which is like shutting down the heart of this city. Tons of people losing their jobs. Everything in this town functions off socialization and large crowds, from the casinos to the restaurants to the strip clubs.

But yesterday I was doing my usual night drive around the city — when I drive for an hour and contemplate life — and as I drove thinking about what role Covid-19 plays in the larger scheme of the universe, I saw this out my window:

wynn-love-01

That's it! It's that simple!

Most of the hotels on the Strip have gone dark, but they left a few rooms lit up in the shape of hearts.

Could the sign be any more obvious that this virus is not some mindless evil or pesky inconvenience, but a nudge towards our evolution to higher consciousness?

Make no mistake, the suffering, danger, and death is real. But that's the nature of Love. Love is not soft. Love is relentless. It will not yield to your smallness. Love is hard like a diamond.

Just because life becomes hard doesn't mean it isn't Love. Life gets hard precisely to show you how strong Love is.

Do not wish for life to get easier. Wish for your love to get stronger. Be BIGGER! Love wider!

Don't wait for God to light up hotel rooms in the shape of hearts for you to recognize Love.

People are sometimes baffled why I would choose to live in the city of sin. But if you can't find God in a strip club, you don't understand God.

"When we are divided, the virus exploits the cracks between us." — WHO director-general Dr. Tedros

As Covid-19 divides us, it brings us closer together into an ever deeper unity.

Pssst.... You'll never go wrong assuming it's ALL love ;)

Everything gained will be lost.

Everything lost will be regained.

- - - - - - - - - -

What does this mean?

You will spend your life accumulating things, people, circumstances, positions, experiences, knowledge, success, money, power, sex, health, family, reputation, etc.

You will struggle desperately not to lose these things.

But you will lose them one by one. Causing you great suffering, especially in those cases where you think you cannot ever replace what was lost.

By the end of your life you will lose everything you gained, culminating in the final loss: birth itself.

And at the exact moment you complete the surrender of your birth, you will instantly regain everything and everyone you lost by merging with them in Infinite Consciousness, completing a perfect circle.

By losing your self you will find your Self.

Ta-da!

Life is a mirror for finding your True Self and suffering polishes this mirror.

If you're someone who's interested in psychedelics as a tool for spiritual growth, I highly recommend reading the entire Wikipedia article on Timothy Leary as it shows the dangers and problems that come with mainstreaming psychedelics.

There's a lot that happened in the 60's which the current generation has forgotten about or never understood. It's important to understand how the psychedelic revolution of the 60's went off the rails and why it sparked a backlash.

The RightWingWatch.org Twitter account is a jaw-dropping collection of dogma, closedminedness, and ideological stupidity. It's really a thing of beauty. I have long wanted to make a mega-collection every closedminded ideological thing that mankind has ever said — as a teaching tool.

It's worth studying the RightWingWatch examples in detail. If I was a university professor of philosophy or epistemology, I would have an entire course where we study the epistemic stupidities of the right wing around the globe. And it would be one of the most popular and educational courses on campus.

Anyhow... Enjoy it, but not too much ;)

P.S. The left wing is not immune. It's just that the right wing is in a league of stupidity all on its own.

P.P.S. What RightWingWatch.org shows is that one of the best ways to combat ignorance is simply to put it on full display until the evidence becomes so overwhelming and obvious that no decent person can deny it. This is much more effective than argumentation or debate. Just show examples of stupidity and truth will prevail. Of course you must gather your examples in a fair-minded way, without taking things out of context and without promoting a counter-ideology. So it is possible for an ideologue to abuse this method. For example, the right wing loves to cherrypick the worst examples of left wing behavior on purpose to misrepresent the left wing and make the right wing look reasonable.

If you are in the US, it's gonna get really bad in the next 2 weeks. Make sure you stay at home as much as possible. 20% percent of severe coronavirus cases are people between the age of 20 and 44.

If you are young and catch this virus, your chances of ending up in the emergency room is 1 in 5. No joke. And in 2 weeks you will be lucky if you can find a hospital in a major city with an open bed. You really want to avoid this thing.

Do not socialize. Do not hang around people. Do not touch objects outside your house without gloves. Do not come within 6 feet of people. Do not hang out in busy public places like restaurants or stores. Just get your groceries with gloves and go the fuck home.
