The Black Hole Problem
By Leo Gura - March 14, 2025
In my series Deconstructing The Myth Of Science, we discussed what I called “the black hole problem”.
This is the black hole problem:
The black hole problem is not about faith or belief. It’s about parts of reality being structured in such a way that makes 3rd person objective validation impossible.
It is nothing more than an ungrounded assumption that all aspects of reality should be 3rd person objectively verifiable. Just because some phenomena is not 3rd person verifiable doesn’t make it false, it just means you aren’t conscious of your own metaphysical and epistemological assumptions.
As it turns out, reality is not structured as anyone assumes. The fatal flaw in everyone’s thinking is the expectation that your metaphysical assumptions should be correct. But why would they be? You never even bothered to check them. You’re not even clear what they are.
God isn’t about belief or proof. God is about realizing that all of your metaphysical assumptions are wrong.
Note: If you haven’t seen the film Contact, I recommend you watch it.
