The different depths and stages of understanding insights
Rape is necessary?
Our universe lives because of death. We equate death with pain and suffering. Rape causes suffering, therefore rape is necessary.
Was that statement necessary the way it was presented, though?
Seemed a good idea to add some clarity to what was stated in your video…lest a person devoid of empathetic capacity feels a bit too exonerated (or god forbid, enabled) upon hearing it.
Hi Leo,
Another great video, thank you. We all must THINK…
May I add a few comments on two isssues:
– Manipulation: definitely a very important issue in our modern world. My view is everyone should know the mechanism of manipulation (many good books on the subject) BUT also the difference between influence and manipulation. Everybody uses influence in life, it is not necessarily manipulation as it does not necessarily corrupt a relationship. This is the whole point, in my view. If you have no influence at all, you do not exist, this is the dilemma.
– Meditation: i practice it on a daily basis but before i went to the conclusion that it can have a positive influence in my life, i needed to find the “right” book. I finally found it, “the art of meditation” by Matthieu Ricard. I strongly recommend it, as it defines well what meditation is, also that meditation has a goal (yes it has). How you can work on suffering, and to what extent empathy, compassion, caring and altruism can enrich your personal life…

Hi, again.
You touched on something that i had thought of while meditating last week; which is: animals true nature and how WE are different and have this BRAIN(which sets us appart). But i dont see how WE are SO special that OUR consciousness would be different because of said brain….i mean, if anything, they should be enlightened from day one and so should we(our enlightenment would wane with our exposure and use of our brain). I just felt that you were implying that they(animals(lion)) were not nor could they be enlightened.???
I loooove my life; since i started watching ALL your videos i love it even more.
Ps….did u like the use of my semi-columns

It’s difficult to think like this, this contemplation’s very complicated. Wisdom is simple, that is it’s not pretentious or showy and it’s unpretentious. I see how simple this contemplation is, but it’s subdivided and compound and presents difficulty. This is the sageness I need, except what’s simple is just what’s common and ordinary, things can be simple in ways that are just normal, think about it.
There’s religion with God, but then there’s just belief in God without the organised religion, the only action in mere God-belief is saying things like “thank God”, “God you stink”, “God help me”, it’s really a thinking philosophy about God, religion with God isn’t what you do but what you don’t do, it’s what you’re not wearing, or not gambling, not lying, depending on the belief, that’s in organised religion, certain things are sins, and I think I should just believe in God, doing anything I want, it makes no difference how “sinful” you are, you’re probably going to talk dirty sex, do drugs and play with lottery tickets, the only difference is that God is there with you in your mind. Rather than follow orders from religion, I prefer to just believe in God.
